Rio Grande Scenic Railroad says thank you to San Luis Valley residents with a special ride, discount |

ALAMOSA, CO -- In thanks
for the community support they've received from Alamosa and throughout
the valley, the Rio Grande Scenic Railroad is offering a special treat
to valley residents: an exclusive, residents-only ride to La Veta on
Thursday, May 24th, two days before the train's official season starts
on Memorial Day weekend. Rates for the Community Special will be
discounted more than 50% to $18 for adults and just $13 for kids on the
24th, and passengers must have a valid San Luis Valley address to
reserve their spot and receive the discounted rates.
Reservations are now open for the Community Special by calling
877-7CO-RAIL, or visiting the depot at the corner of 6th and State in
